Andy Murray Loses to Stefanos Tsitsipas in Five Sets
Murray Questions Motivation to Return to Wimbledon Next Year
Briton Loses 6-3, 6-4, 6-7, 6-3, 6-4 in Second Round
LONDON - Andy Murray's Wimbledon campaign came to an end on Wednesday as he lost to Greek fifth seed Stefanos Tsitsipas in a five-set thriller. The Scot won the third set in a tie-break but was unable to maintain his momentum as Tsitsipas took the next two sets to seal victory.
Speaking after the match, Murray admitted that his motivation to return to Wimbledon next year was in doubt. "I'm not sure how much longer I can keep doing this," he said. "It's tough to keep coming back here and losing in the early rounds. I need to decide if I'm willing to put in the work to get back to the level I need to be at to compete with the best players in the world."
Murray's defeat marks the end of a disappointing Wimbledon campaign for British players. Cameron Norrie and Dan Evans also lost in the second round, leaving Murray as the only British player remaining in the men's singles draw.
