The beneficiaries of the 'PM Surya Ghar' scheme will now get the subsidy in the account immediately. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given this information himself. PM Modi interacted with the beneficiaries of this scheme on Friday. He said that the subsidy amount will be transferred directly to the accounts of the beneficiaries.

The Prime Minister said that the 'PM Surya Ghar' scheme is playing an important role in reducing the electricity consumption of crores of families in the country. The solar panels installed under this scheme are not only generating electricity but are also saving lakhs of rupees annually for the beneficiaries.

PM Modi also said that the government is committed to providing clean and affordable energy to every household in the country. He said that the 'PM Surya Ghar' scheme is a step in this direction.

The 'PM Surya Ghar' scheme was launched in 2019. Under this scheme, the government provides subsidy for the installation of solar panels in the homes of BPL families. The scheme is being implemented by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy.

According to the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, more than 20 lakh solar panels have been installed under the 'PM Surya Ghar' scheme so far. These solar panels are generating more than 500 MW of electricity.
